Fine Art printing
Colourgenics has been providing top-notch print and film services for Canada's foremost photographers and visual artists for over 25 years. For a past decade we have been applying our printing expertise to digital technology to produce high quality photographic art and art reproductions.

Giclée Prints - Affordable Quality and Archival Longevity
If you are interested in producing beautiful, archival prints on extraordinarily fine, heavy-weight paper or canvas - you have come to the right place. Giclée technology is particularily well suited for light, airy images, such as watercolors, crayons and pastels. In fact, we dare say that giclée prints made from high-resolution scans from original watercolors look so incredibly life-like - you will have hard time telling the copy and the original apart.
We use an Epson's line of large format printers that is well known to artists. We believe that our flagship Epson 11880 and Hahnemühle papers offer the best quality fine art output from all the platforms we have tested so far.
Founded in 1584, Hahnemühle is the oldest German paper mill still producing papers for traditional and digital art. These papers are simply exquisite for ultra-high resolution archival printing.

Spice up your artwork with canvas printing! We offer a selection of world's best artists' canvas materials, including Hahnemühle Monet and Museo Maestro. When you print digital images on canvas, it's unique surface imparts a sense of craftsmanship to your work, implying hand-painted art. Imagine the possibilities for expression and new markets!

Our giclée printing service features great rates, quick turnaround times, excellent colour and very strict quality control. As well, we are one of a few places in Toronto offering special pricing on scan+print packages, with free workstations available for setting up and proofing.

Colourgenics excels at producing large-scale fine art projects, where consistency, attention to minute detail and top notch execution are needed to ensure that your images turn into truly sublime works of art. Click here for up-to-date listing of supported media and pricing for giclée* prints.

Great fine art print starts with a great scan, and we have the best-in-class equipment for making excellent scans, along with affordable, high-quality rental scanning station with an Imacon 848 scanner. Our master printers (with decades of fine art printing experience) will look after your project to ensure breathtaking results.

*What's in the word? Giclée is the feminine of the past particle of French verb to spray. If you researched the topic of fine art printing, you have probably come across some wildly different definitions of what constitutes the giclée process. In essence, anyone with a desktop inkjet can claim that they print giclée. And indeed they do.
But what about us? What do we, Colourgenics, mean when we say that we make giclée prints?
