EcoShield Glossy and Satin spray coats are now available both on Canvas and Fine Art paper. This UV-resistant, optically clear coating protects your prints, resists scuffing and helps to improve contrast and saturation. It is water-based and environmentally friendly. Recommended by Wilhelm Imaging Research.

We use "Conservator" stretcher bars that are 42mm wide and 22mm deep (1-5/6" x 25/32").

Our standard bars are 22mm deep and 42mm wide "Conservator" bars - fully keyable, precision-cut stretcher bars made from solid, kiln-dried clear pine. Its custom profile keeps canvas away from touching the bar and a back groove helps to resist warping. These bars are excellent for using with most fine art frames or for showcasing smaller pieces of art.
We have in stock all sizes starting from 8" to 40" long. Stretcher bars longer than 40" and heavier (deeper) stretcher bars, along with crossbars and specialized mounting hardware can be brought in on special order, with maximum wait time around 1 business week.

Heavy Duty 22mm x 74mm wide "Conservator" bars are great for larger pieces of artwork and are compatible with 3" wide crossbars (optional).

Split batten sets are available at $40.00 to $50.00 per set (installed), depending on length. Gator hooks and hanging wire are available at $10.00 per set (installed). Please note that gator hooks should only be used with 1/2" thick material.

A selection of simple and elegant frame moldings is now in stock for your custom framing requirements. Together with custom cut mats, our on-site framing service uses only premium materials and high production standards for buidling frames up to 30"x40" in size. We will be delighted to provide a quotation for your upcoming show/project. Being custom in nature, all framing orders are quoted on a per job basis.

Installing artwork into pre-made frames is $15.00 per frame. We have a variety of economical, high quality ready-made frames in many popular sizes. Inquire at the front counter to see samples and pricing.

We are experts in packaging finished projects for shipping to any distance. Double-walled tubes, custom-built cardboard boxes, plywood shipping crates are just a few of many available options to get your artwork to its destination safely and securely. Please inquire for details.

To complete your satisfaction with our ultra professional service infrastructure, Colourgenics can arrange to ship your work across the country or internationally. In addition to any specialty packaging charge and the cost of shipping, a handling fee may be levied.

Imacon scans for transparencies and negatives up to 4”x5” originals;

Drum scans for transparency, negative and reflective scanning up to 12”x17” originals;

All scans are supplied as 8 bit RGB TIFF files in AdobeRGB1998 colour space, unless 16-bit (as available) is requested. Drum scans available in LAB colour space by request. Grayscale scans are supplied in 16-bit as default. All scans are shipped fully colour-corrected and free of dust, at no extra charge.

All charges are based on the final file size in MBytes, RGB 8bit equivalent.

Film scans are economical alternatives for applications such as web pages, presentations, design mockups and of course output to digital photo printers. They are not intended as a substitute for high-end scanning, although adventurous clients have successfully repurposed them for many other uses

From negatives or transparencies in 35mm and 120 formats (up to 6x9 cm.), these high quality scans are more versatile than roll scans due to larger file sizes and additional care in their preparation.

As a community effort, Colourgenics hosts group shows of clients' work (by invitation) and at times mounts technology showcases highlighting our latest imaging achievements.

All bona fide charitable events are welcome to be considered for free rental of IX.

All orders are C.O.D unless a credit application has been submitted and approved. Terms for charge accounts are: Net 30 days FROM DATE OF INVOICE, 2% per month on overdue accounts. Accounts 60 days overdue are automatically put on C.O.D. WITHOUT NOTICE. Colourgenics Inc. reserves the right to withdraw credit privileges and impose credit limits at any time, as it deems fit. Inactive accounts are purged from our accounting system every 90 days. Orders may not be charged to a party other than the client placing the order unless with the prior consent of Colourgenics Inc. Please notify Colourgenics of any discrepancy within 7 days of receiving invoice. A statement of account is issued each month for verification purposes only.

C.O.D. orders are payable by certified cheque, VISA, Master Card (minimum $20.00) or cash. We regret our inability to accept personal cheques as payment. For orders over $500.00, a 30% deposit is required.

Colourgenics cannot be responsible for delays and safe delivery in shipping orders, ESPECIALLY RUSH JOBS.

The submission of any film(s), print(s), negative(s), transparencies, artwork, electronic files or other media to Colourgenics Inc., our subsidiaries or agents, for printing, processing or other handling constitutes an AGREEMENT by the customer that in the event of loss or damage, however caused, Colourgenics Inc.’s liability is limited to the original
cost, or replacement with a like amount, of unexposed, unprocessed film or materials. Except for such replacement or reimbursement the acceptance by Colourgenics Inc., our subsidiaries or agents of film, print, transparency, negative, art or other media is without other warranty, and recovery for any incidental or consequential damages is excluded.
The dyes and inks used in colour films, papers and digital media may change or fade, therefore Colourgenics Inc. does not guarantee against any such colour change.
Colourgenics is not responsible for orders or original materials left over 60 days.

In accepting film, photographs, artwork or other media for processing, copying, outputting or other handling, Colourgenics Inc. assumes no liability for copyright infringement. By submitting such materials, the customer expressly agrees that the reproduction from the same will be done with the permission of the copyright owner. Also by such submission, the customer agrees to indemnify Colourgenics Inc. for all costs and expenses, including but not limited to lawyers fees or judgements, resulting from any claim or lawsuit against Colourgenics Inc. for copyright violation.

With the exception of film processing, all service times quoted are IN-PLANT times excluding Saturday, Sunday, and holidays. Every effort is made to maintain service schedules; however, the service times listed herein may not be met under extraordinary circumstances. Please indicate an exact deadline if one is required so that suitable arrangements can be made. Service times are cumulative. Rush service or orders involving more than one service, are quoted individually.

Rush service necessarily upsets production scheduling and increases material wastage; as such, it is subject to applicable surcharges. Please confirm due times and charges when ordering. In addition, quality expectations should be commensurate with the time allowed for completion of rush orders.
After hours processing or printing may be arranged on an hourly charge basis. A minimum is in effect for overtime that is not a continuation of a workday.

In the absence of provided materials for reference and quantifiable quality expectations when placing the original order, Colourgenics cannot entertain requests for remakes.

iPrep is a lower-cost print service bracket designed for clients who feel at home with colour management, softproofing and print resolution issues.

iPrep prints are run without operator's intervention. Your prints will reflect what you see on your workstation without a technician interpreting images you have already finalized.

Use sRGB colorspace for all your output. Embed sRGB ICC profile in all your files.

Put your print files onto separate cd (memory card, etc.) Technicians will not sort your files for you.

G5 Workstations with calibrated monitors and card readers are available for your use.

Download output profiles matching the paper and size you require so you can softproof your images and edit before you print. (Put the output profiles on your Mac in Mac HD/Library/ColorSync/Profiles and on your PC in C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\SPOOL\DRIVERS\COLOR.)

Colour gamuts of images and papers, ICM engines and rendering intents all affect conversion to output.

Our colour managed workflow will reconcile these elements for faithful colour reproduction of your files.
